About The Position

The Capital Planning Process & Systems Analyst is responsible for enabling the execution, governance, and transparency of Albertsons’ capital planning process through effective management of systems, tools, and workflows. This role serves as the operational backbone of the capital planning lifecycle—administering the capital planning platform and ensuring accurate, timely reporting of capital plans, project status, and budget adherence. Unlike traditional finance roles, this position is not responsible for financial modeling or investment analysis. Instead, it focuses on process standardization, system optimization, and clear reporting of capital performance, ensuring leadership has a real-time, accurate view of capital deployment across programs and projects. This role is critical to scaling a disciplined, transparent, and system-driven capital allocation process aligned with enterprise priorities and timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3–5 plus years of experience in capital planning, financial operations, business systems, or process management
  • Experience working with enterprise systems (Oracle, QuickBase, PowerBI, or similar platforms)
  • Experience supporting planning cycles, workflows, or system-driven processes preferred.
  • Strong systems thinker with a focus on process design, workflow optimization, and scalability
  • Experience administering or supporting business systems and tools.
  • Highly organized with strong project and process management capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and enforce timelines across stakeholders.
  • Effective communicator with ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI) preferred.
  • Familiarity with data structures, system integrations, or query tools (SQL a plus, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Own administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Capital Planning platform (CPP / Oracle-based tools) and reporting tools (i.e., QuickBase, BI)
  • Ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and alignment with capital planning processes and governance standards.
  • Partner with IT and Data teams to enhance system functionality, integrations, and data flows.
  • Support continuous improvement of tools to increase usability, automation, and adoption across the organization.
  • Maintain a consolidated, system-driven view of the capital plan across all programs and projects.
  • Track and report project status against plan, including: Budget vs. actuals, Timing / milestone progress, Program-level rollups
  • Develop and distribute standardized reporting, dashboards, and scorecards for leadership.
  • Ensure reporting is timely, accurate, and aligned with executive and board-level expectations.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across FP&A, Real Estate, Construction, IT, and Business teams.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins and reporting cadences with program and project owners.
  • Support preparation of reporting materials for leadership reviews, capital committees, and board reporting.
  • Drive clarity on capital plan status, risks, and execution progress through structured communication.
  • Ensure high-quality, consistent data across capital systems and reporting outputs.
  • Establish controls and validation processes to maintain data integrity.
  • Promote transparency by enabling self-service reporting and clear visibility into capital deployment.
  • Support enterprise initiatives to improve data health and system adoption (e.g., Oracle data accuracy, PowerBI reporting enhancements)
