As a Capital Systems Planner, you will visit parks and Crown Lands across the province, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to develop plans to upgrade, expand, and replace the back-of-house systems which serve outdoor recreation infrastructure such as campgrounds, day-use areas, visitor centres, trails, and more. We are looking for a specialized technical professional with an architectural or engineering background who will be responsible for assessing and analyzing capital asset systems serving outdoor recreation infrastructure province-wide. These capital asset systems include facilities, utilities (e.g. water, wastewater, electrical systems, gas services), roads and parking, staff housing, and other specialized systems. The Capital Systems Planner assesses infrastructure elements, recommends refurbishment or replacement, coordinates site-level plans with Capital Infrastructure Planners, and oversees the planning and development of capital asset systems. This role is within the Capital Infrastructure Development and Implementation (CIDI) branch and reports to the Manager of Capital Systems Planning.
