Under limited supervision, performs work of considerable complexity in managing various phases of construction, renovation, system replacements, and upgrades from conceptual initiation through construction occupancy and warranty. This includes planning, design, procurement, and construction, ensuring that projects are designed and constructed in accordance with local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, regulations, and codes, county standards, stakeholder needs, available budgets, identified scope, time schedules, and other applicable requirements. The role involves coordinating with county staff, contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory agencies for reviews and approvals, developing and monitoring project budgets, managing contractor payments and change orders, conducting regular meetings, developing drawings and specifications for smaller projects, participating in interviews, negotiating contracts, serving as a point of contact for issue resolution, and preparing project status reports. The position also provides non-supervisory work direction to County field coordination staff and performs other duties as required. This position is part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) offering career progression and salary incentives based on performance, qualifications, and experience, as funding permits. The position is open until filled, with the first review beginning July 27, 2026.
