The Capital Project Manager II position with the King County Solid Waste Division (SWD) supports SWD's capital improvement program by providing project management for large capital projects and contracts. As part of the SWD Project Management Office (PMO), you'll join a team of motivated project managers and engage stakeholders across all SWD's lines of business working on regional public infrastructure projects at the forefront of environmental leadership. The Capital Project Manager II supports major capital improvement projects across the Solid Waste Division, including work on the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill, Recycling and Transfer Station Program, and asset management initiatives. In this role, you’ll guide projects through the full lifecycle—from defining scope, schedule, and budget to procuring and managing consultants, overseeing design and construction, and coordinating with engineers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and sustainable infrastructure for the region. In this role, you'll collaborate with and support a team of highly motivated project managers leading a portfolio of large, complex capital improvement projects (CIPs), and you may lead smaller-scale CIPs of your own.
