About The Position

You will work with treasurers/portfolio managers/traders and soak in the daily bustling trading activities. You will learn about our pricing methodologies, funding practices, and hedging philosophies. You will also have opportunities to interact with other areas of the Bank including but not limited to Risk, Accounting, and IT.

Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, or similar fields with a quantitative focus
Working knowledge of fixed income financial instruments and risk measures required
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel; must be able to create and maneuver spreadsheets and data
Attention to detail is a must
Conceptual, analytic, and information technology skills appropriate to financial asset pricing and risk measurement
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills combined with ability to plan, organize, and carry out multiple project assignments

Nice To Haves

Exposure to data science and computer science preferred
Knowledge in VBA, SQL and Power BI

Responsibilities

Learn about the management of a mortgage portfolio
Support product pricing (advances and mortgages); facilitate transaction verification and documentation
Automate reports and processes using SSRS/ VBA/SQL or Power BI
Test new products and systems
Identify and collect market information; verify information validity with multiple sources
Conduct market research; perform ad hoc analyses in support of portfolio management strategies
