Requirements

  • Successful completion of a minimum of first year of an undergraduate degree
  • Basic market knowledge and a demonstrated keen interest in capital markets
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Motivated individual who is able to take initiative and self-develop
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, business sense and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in high pressure environments
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • CSC and CPH preferred and enrolment in CFA is a strong asset
  • A sound understanding of foreign exchange or interest rates
  • Prior related work experience valued
  • Prior use of Bloomberg, Thomson and Reuters preferred

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the RBC distribution network and internal partners over a variety of mediums (phone, email, internal messaging) to position Risk Solutions Group (RSG) clients & anchor the client with a Dedicated Regional Salesperson
  • Assist in New Client onboarding and maintain the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Prepare market commentary and client-friendly FX & Rates market presentations
  • Manage the distribution lists to share market and economic information relevant for the client’s hedging decisions
  • Execute instructions from sales to adjust/ fine-tune FX pricing within onboarding competitive/optimal pricing
  • Assist with phone coverage during business hours
  • Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business
  • Assist Rates Salesperson in pre-trade and post-trade tasks
  • Complete ad-hoc projects to analyze client data to improve operational processes and spot business growth opportunities
