About The Position

The Capital Markets Credit Analyst will service a loan portfolio of large, complex commercial and mortgage loans, including participated loans with other Farm Credit Associations and commercial banks. This role involves completing thorough financial analyses to evaluate creditworthiness, identifying emerging trends and operational impacts, preparing comprehensive credit memoranda, and monitoring loan performance across the portfolio. The analyst will maintain loan files by ensuring timely receipt of accurate documentation from customers and participants, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance with Association policies and procedures. Collaboration with the Capital Markets & Portfolio Manager is key for recommending or approving/denying loans within delegated authority, preparing recommendations for committee review, and reviewing legal documents. The position also supports team projects and may conduct collateral evaluations. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with emphasis in accounting, agriculture, or business required.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in GAAP prepared financial statements, complex consolidations, tax return evaluations, global cash flow analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly.
  • Skills in planning and organization.
  • Must be self-motivated with a good work ethic.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite of software products (i.e. Excel, Word, Windows, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Will consider entry level candidates.
  • Agriculture lending experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Farm Credit regulations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of agriculture, accounting, business law, and economics.
