About The Position

The Capital Markets Associate will be responsible for capital markets activities spanning across capital raising, execution, and modeling work to support the advancement of those opportunities. This is an individual contributor role. The role focuses on developing and executing Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding. The Associate will lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders. Responsibilities include reporting associated with Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders, partnering with technology teams to ensure automation on reports, and utilizing skills to enhance existing processes and workflows for more efficiency. The role also involves liaising with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure partnership and transparency, and building and maintaining strong relationships with key banks and other external partners. The Associate must be highly attuned to customer needs and requirements, able to anticipate their needs, and provide tailored solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in banking or capital markets.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape.
  • Proactively identifies improvement opportunities across systems and processes, and implements solutions and updates them.
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly.
  • Collaborates seamlessly with internal teams in Finance & Accounting, Technology etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; can present to varying audiences and leaders.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or MBA a plus.
  • Solar industry and structured finance experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
