About The Position

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Capital Markets Analyst to support the investor relations, loan sale execution, profitability analysis, and capital markets functions of our growing Non-QM mortgage platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of residential mortgage lending, secondary marketing, investor guidelines, and loan delivery processes. This role will work closely with production, operations, underwriting, accounting, and executive leadership to optimize loan profitability, support investor relationships, and contribute to the company's growth initiatives within the Non-QM lending sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage capital markets, secondary marketing, investor relations, mortgage analytics, or related financial services.
  • Strong understanding of residential mortgage lending and secondary market fundamentals.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Non-QM lending products and investor programs.
  • Familiarity with loan sale execution, investor delivery processes, and post-purchase reviews.
  • Experience with Encompass and mortgage reporting platforms.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
  • Understanding of gain-on-sale analysis and mortgage profitability metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and price residential mortgage loans in accordance with investor guidelines, market conditions, and company profitability objectives.
  • Manage loan-level and product-level margins to ensure alignment with corporate revenue and growth goals.
  • Review pricing exceptions and concession requests, providing recommendations based on profitability, competitiveness, and strategic objectives.
  • Conduct pricing and profitability analysis to support product development, investor selection, and business strategy decisions.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of investor pricing changes, product enhancements, and market developments on loan profitability.
  • Develop and maintain profitability models, pricing analytics, and management reporting tools.
  • Manage relationships with investors and aggregators.
  • Review and maintain investor guidelines, overlays, and program updates.
  • Monitor pipeline status and investor commitments to facilitate efficient loan delivery and execution.
  • Prepare and deliver loan sale packages and supporting documentation.
  • Resolve post-purchase conditions and investor inquiries.
  • Evaluate new investor opportunities and execution channels to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain capital markets reporting and dashboards.
  • Analyze loan production trends, gain-on-sale performance, investor execution results, and profitability metrics.
  • Monitor loan-level profitability and identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Provide management with actionable insights regarding investor performance, product trends, and market opportunities.
  • Support monthly and quarterly forecasting related to loan sales and capital markets activities.
