About The Position

This role is critical in defining and driving an UpToDate capacity planning process throughout the organization. The Spares Capacity Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the on-time delivery of spare parts, spare assemblies, and modification kits to all RECARO customers. This involves releasing spare assembly orders and modification kits orders in SAP and ensuring all necessary components are available on time to meet scheduled delivery dates for spare parts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering preferred.
  • 4 years of production planning or capacity planning experience with an Associate’s degree can be in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • SAP and MRP experience required.
  • Strong SAP skills are mandatory.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
  • Technical skills using material requirements planning and scheduling software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of employees.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Previous customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Teamcenter experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up capacity planning function and drive the mindset within the group.
  • Coordinate with departments such as Purchasing, MRP, Logistics, and Quality to ensure timely component delivery for meeting scheduled delivery dates.
  • Define and track capacities within the group to enable proper capacity planning.
  • Prepare 90-60-30 day outlooks for on-time deliveries.
  • Control Order Book vs. Capacity.
  • Forecast and plan capacity requirements to ensure alignment with department or unit objectives.
  • Determine variance from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand.
  • Recommend process and equipment improvements to optimize production capabilities.
  • Determine lead times for both assemblies and mod kits based on the longest lead time items in the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Investigate and resolve problems related to spare parts, spare assemblies, and mod kits.
  • Organize, prepare, and run daily Spares Shop Floor Meetings in coordination with Spares Coordinators.
  • Run shortage reports regularly and initiate appropriate actions.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers as required.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Work closely with service coordinators to ensure customer needs are met.
