About The Position

This leader is responsible for establishing a strategy and associated roadmap, to deliver a comprehensive communications framework, serving members, providers, and cross-functional internal teams, for the Optum Prior Authorization Organization. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a product owner, business analyst and/or related role that involves defining and implementing capabilities or complex business processes
3+ years of Prior Authorization experience
Experience in systematically analyzing processes and problems, drawing relevant conclusions, and devising appropriate course to resolution
Experience in verbal and visual presentation skills, as well as solid written and interpersonal communication skills
Proven effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams resulting in conflict resolution, issue resolution, and successful outcomes
Proven ability to support scheduled and emergency system implementation releases, including availability during occasional weekends and non standard hours as business needs require

Experience developing a strategy, prioritizing strategic deliverables on a plan/roadmap, and engaging stakeholders to maintain awareness and alignment
Experience managing a product or capability roadmap and ensuring strategic alignment with the organizational vision
Experience utilizing user experience collateral such as personas, journey maps, etc.
Experience collaborating with and influencing senior level leaders and gaining consensus
Experience with OptumRx systems such as PAS/PANDA (Prior Authorization System / Prior Authorization Network Decisioning Application) and/or RxClaims

Drive to understand the “why” and connect the benefit of technology to the business capability and be able to clearly articulate this to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
