About The Position

The Cap Blender is responsible for blending defect-free capping according to provided recipes using blending equipment and work cells. This role involves maintaining and monitoring cap blending materials, communicating with various departments to meet operational demands, and moving materials throughout the plant using a forklift. The position also includes ensuring a clean work area, assisting with recycling, conducting inventory, and performing additional material handling and other duties as assigned by supervision or management. The role operates in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment and requires flexibility in work schedule.

Requirements

• Forklift Certification required
• Basic computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months in a similar position a plus
• Previous experience with blending equipment a plus

Responsibilities

• Blend defect-free capping per the recipe provided utilizing the blending equipment and work cell.
• Maintain and monitor cap blending material in the racks ensuring there is adequate supply to meet operation demand.
• Communicate with scheduling, purchasing and operations staff to plan and schedule batching to meet operation demand.
• Move material to and from various locations throughout the plant and into storage racks via fork truck.
• Ensure the area is kept clean and orderly.
• Assist in recycling of cardboard and other waste products.
• Conduct or assist with physical inventory of capping material.
• Perform additional material handling duties as needed by supervision/management.
• Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.
