Canvasser (Part-Time Seasonal Sept-Dec, 15 positions available)

Asian Americans Advancing JuNorcross, GA
Hybrid

About The Position

Founded in 2010 as the Asian American Legal Advocacy Center (AALAC), our organization became part of the Asian Americans Advancing Justice affiliation in 2014. Since then, we have re-organized our focus areas more specifically into four groups: Policy Advocacy, Civic Engagement & Organizing, Impact Litigation, and Legal Services. Our mission is to advance justice in a broad multiracial movement and build power within Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI), Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian (AMEMSA), and immigrant communities across Georgia and the Southeast. We envision a just world that embraces self-determination, transformative solidarity, and thriving communities. As a Canvasser, you will play a crucial role in our efforts to increase voter participation and connect community members with organizational and valuable resources. Your responsibilities will include both soft canvassing at community events, festivals, and college campuses, as well as deep canvassing through door-to-door outreach in targeted communities. You will help distribute information, register community members to vote, and provide resources to support civic engagement. This is a seasonal part-time position that supports Advancing Justice-Atlanta with community outreach and civic engagement in different communities in Georgia.
