About The Position
Our community outreach program is currently looking for self-driven and motivated people to speak with citizens in Detroit and get them registered to vote. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy being outdoors, have comfortable walking shoes, and like to meet new people. Verdugo Strategies values a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from individuals with close ties to Black, Latinx, Muslim, Non-English-Speaking, disability, and LGBTQ communities.
Requirements
- Availability including weekends
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
- Comfort with talking to people
- Working Smartphone w/ Data
- Must not work for other political campaigns during employment.
- Must be flexible for any changes due to weather, unforeseen circumstances, etc.
- Availability to work 20-40 hours per week
- Have a working mobile phone with Wi-Fi
- Valid Photo Identification
- Valid Driver License
- Have the ability to work a 6-hour shift
- Ages: 25 and up
- Experience driving in the Detroit area
Responsibilities
- Speak with citizens in Detroit and get them registered to vote.
- Work outdoors for extended periods.
- Talk to people.
Benefits
