About The Position

The Transport Agent is responsible for delivering finished products to designated locations in strict compliance with company policies, all applicable laws and regulations governed by the state of operation. This role requires a high level of discretion, professionalism and attention to detail while operating vehicles, maintaining manifests and ensuring proper chain of custody during all transport activities. This position reports directly to the Manager – Transportation.

Requirements

  • Must be 25 years of age or older and be able to pass a background check
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Registered Agent Card
  • Must have and be able to retain a valid government issued Driver License
  • Must be able to operate company vehicles to include controls and equipment driving for extended periods
  • Demonstrated outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, work on your feet for extended periods, and be able to drive for the majority of a given shift
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to work in other departments as required

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills and/or familiarity with cannabis tracking systems such as Metric/BioTrack or equivalent software.
  • Prior cannabis industry experience to include knowledge of products and terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team that requires working in two (2) person teams for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver company products to designated locations, ensure high quality customer service and develop/maintain client relationships.
  • Accurately maintain documentation and/or inventory records in accordance with company policy and state specified regulations for deliveries and returns.
  • Obey all state specific driving laws and company specific transport and security protocols.
  • Perform vehicle checks to ensure good working order and identify/report vehicle issues for repair.
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory safety and security procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training, audits, inspections, etc. in accordance with company and regulatory compliance.
  • Support cross functional operations of designated location as required based upon business need.
