About The Position

This position provides management of the daily operations of the cannabis dispensary & lounge, including sales, customer service, marketing, inventory management, financial records, compliance, and security. The manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service and a positive experience for customers to maintain a refined, lounge-quality atmosphere where all guests feel welcome, respected, and valued. This role also involves training all dispensary staff to provide excellent customer experience, ensuring beverage operations meet standards for quality, consistency, and presentation, and overseeing recipe adherence, equipment maintenance, and drink bar cleanliness. The manager must maintain strict adherence to ID verification, purchase limits, packaging rules, and Metrc aligned tracking. They will support the development of seasonal, signature, or infused beverages and train staff in espresso craft, beverage preparation, and café service etiquette. Additionally, the manager will develop guest-experience enhancements such as curated product pairings, seasonal beverage features, and lounge activations. This role coordinates and facilitates all the dispensary’s transactions and operations, manages, evaluates, and disciplines dispensary staff, fulfills staffing needs, coordinates employee scheduling, and recruits, trains, retains, and supports quality staff. The manager oversees product procurement and negotiations with wholesalers to ensure adequate inventory, is responsible for achieving all the dispensary’ business goals and objectives, and ensures operational compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Ongoing staff education on cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods is also a key responsibility. The role requires providing weekly inventory and operational reports, ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures, and maintaining appropriate work attire. Attendance at all mandatory department trainings is required. The manager must ensure the confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members, and/or clients, and display a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizing that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, the manager is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others. They will represent the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Proper attendance, including reporting to work on time, is required. The manager must maintain a clean and organized work area. Due to the dynamic nature of the role, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.

Requirements

  • No Driver’s License Required.
  • 21 years of age or older required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three years of retail experience with one year of retail management experience is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods is required.
  • Must complete POS/ inventory tracking system training and Onboarding, and all necessary trainings during probationary period.
  • Must complete Metrc Training and Certification, with a score of no less than 75%, during the probationary period and on an annual basis.
  • Must possess strong business management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.

  • Travel is required.
  • Bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying up to 45 pounds.
  • Walking, standing, climbing, pushing and pulling are required.
