About The Position

Bud's Goods & Provisions is seeking a full-time Cannabis Budtender to join their team. The Budtender will be responsible for ensuring guests feel comfortable, accurately performing transactions, and dispensing cannabis products tailored to individual guest needs. This role requires an advanced understanding of all products, the ability to educate guests on cannabis varieties and infused products, and a passion for cannabis and helping people. The Budtender will also maintain a clean and safe store environment and assist with inventory management.

Requirements

Must be age 21 or over.
Successfully complete a background check.
Advanced understanding of all products.
Proficient cash handling, math skills and attention to detail.
Customer-oriented with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong community awareness with the ability to connect with a diverse population.
Behavior management skills including the ability to remain effective and levelheaded under pressure.
At least 2 years of experience in a retail or hospitality setting.
Ability to stand for long hours, up to a 10-hour shift.
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions as needed.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in guests in a timely manner.
Accurately perform transactions through the POS system.
Dispense cannabis and cannabis products tailored to each individual guest.
Educate guests on the varieties of cannabis and cannabis-infused products.
Actively listen to each guest to provide the highest possible level of service.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well merchandised store environment.
Assist with inventory receiving, management, labeling, packaging, and re-stocking.
Dispense cannabis and cannabis products following strict guidelines to remain in compliance with Cannabis Control Commission regulations at all times.
Become well-versed in Metrc and in using a point of sale (POS) to complete transactions.
Accurately make change for guests and follow money handling protocols to manage a cash till and POS station.
Provide upbeat, engaging and efficient assistance to guests on the sales floor to maintain the flow of guests while providing optimal guest service.
Keep the sales floor clean and organized.
Assist with the opening and closing procedures.
Be aware of and communicate inventory levels and ensure consistent availability to guests.
Perform additional tasks as directed by the Retail Management team.
Work successfully and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Be mindful of guest flow and communicate any issues to Retail Management.
Maintain safety awareness at all times.
