About The Position

The Cannabis Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional individualized customer service, educational consulting, and in some cases patient record management. This is a full-time position requiring open availability for any shifts, including weekends. The role involves educating customers and patients on cannabis products for wellness, managing transactions, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to compliance regulations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
Must be 21 years of age.
Comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
Undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software (Word, Excel, email, etc.).
Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional individualized customer service and educational consulting.
Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
Act as an advocate for cannabis customer care.
Educate customers and patients on cannabis and its potential wellness applications.
Build rapport with regular patients/customers to encourage repeat business.
Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
Provide information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products (without providing medical advice).
Engage in continued, on-going cannabis education and training.
Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/storefront.
Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations.
Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
Complete transactions at the POS and ensure accurate updates to the inventory system (METRC, BioTrack, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned.
