About The Position

The Cannabis Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional individualized customer service, educational consulting, and in some cases patient record management. This role involves assisting customers and patients in navigating cannabis products, educating them on their potential wellness applications, and building rapport to encourage repeat business. The advisor will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring accuracy in online orders and transactions, and adhering to strict compliance regulations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
Must be 21 years of age.
Comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
Undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and included software (Word, Excel, email).
Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional individualized customer service and educational consulting.
Manage patient records as needed.
Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
Act as an advocate for cannabis customer care.
Educate customers and patients on cannabis and its use as a wellness product.
Build rapport with regular patients/customers to promote repeat business.
Work effectively with others in a fast-paced retail environment.
Provide information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products (without providing medical advice).
Engage in continued, on-going cannabis education and training.
Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/store front.
Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations.
Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
Complete transactions at the POS and ensure accurate updates to the state monitored inventory system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
