About The Position

The Cannabis Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional individualized customer service, educational consulting, and in some cases patient record management. This role involves assisting customers and patients in navigating cannabis products, educating them on their potential wellness applications, and ensuring a positive retail experience. The advisor will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, processing transactions, and adhering to strict compliance regulations within the cannabis industry.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
  • Required to undergo a criminal background check.
  • Required to obtain appropriate state badging (as directed by state ordinances).
  • Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
  • Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software (e.g., Word, Excel, email).
  • Ability to learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional individualized customer service and educational consulting.
  • Manage patient records as needed.
  • Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
  • Act as an advocate for cannabis customer care.
  • Educate customers and patients on cannabis products and their use as a wellness product.
  • Build rapport with regular patients/customers to promote repeat business.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Provide information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products (without providing medical advice).
  • Engage in continued, on-going cannabis education and training.
  • Provide support to managers and other Cannabis Advisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/store front.
  • Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
  • Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
  • Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
  • Complete transactions at the POS and ensure the state monitored inventory system accurately updates product availability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
