About The Position

CVS Health has an exciting opportunity in Mount Prospect, IL for a Canister Calibration Technician to be a part of our Pharmacy Maintenance Team! The Canister Calibration Technician is essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner. As part of the team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your skills and experience to work in a closed-door pharmacy setting. You will make a difference by exceling in a complex, high impact dispensing environment and positively impacting the lives of others. You will work alongside a team of talented individuals in a concerted team effort and under the direct supervision of a Lead Mechanic and Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate one year + of experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment/ mechanical components.
  • Apply for an Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and provide verification before your first day.
  • Complete 500hr. State mandatory training in product selection.
  • Provide verification of high school diploma, GED or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work mandatory overtime/extended work week, when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Travel, when needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse or healthcare environments.
  • Previous experience with preventive maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment and maintenance of equipment in a production environment (Vending machine, Slot machine, Arcade games, etc).
  • Experience with drug canisters and Opti-Fill operation.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Building, repairing, and maintaining drug canisters for the automated drug dispensing equipment (Opti-Fill).
  • Cleaning the canisters per prescribed schedules and procedures.
  • Auditing canister performance.
  • Testing canister performance.
  • Investigating quality assurance issues.
  • Troubleshooting canister electro-mechanical problems.
  • Maintaining the canister information database.
