About The Position

Scheels is seeking a full-time Candy Manager to join their team. This role involves performing all Café restaurant functions, maintaining working knowledge of recipes, following food safety guidelines, managing inventory and merchandise, and assisting in training new associates. The ideal candidate will have a high school education and 1-3 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires the ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The schedule includes an average of 40 hours per week, with a mix of opening and closing shifts, and requires working a minimum of every other weekend.

Requirements

  • High school education and 1-3 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Perform all Café restaurant functions, which may include deli line, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned per Café ASL
  • Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes and prepared foods
  • Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances
  • Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
  • Prepare different types of food, drinks, and ingredients
  • Ensure Scheels Cashier Guidelines are followed as it pertains to Café registers
  • Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, and opening and closing procedures
  • Make decisions about the purchasing of inventory, the arrangement of merchandise, and sales trends to meet or exceed Scheels' standards
  • Assist in training all new associates using kitchen tools, mentor checklists, and Standard Operating Guidelines
  • Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
