About The Position

HIRE360 is an industry-led, workforce development nonprofit investing in the communities that call Illinois home. We bring together the largest construction unions, general contractors, and developers to create opportunities in construction for everyone. The HIRE360 Candidate Support Advisor (CSA) recruits, counsels, mentors, guides, and advises participants as they explore and pursue career pathways in the construction industry leading to clean energy employment, careers in the skilled trades, and advanced training opportunities. Assigned to the Climate Works Pre-Apprenticeship Program, the CSA provides case management and participant support with a focus on engagement, retention, supportive services, and successful program outcomes. The CSA works closely with participants to support their successful transition into employment, apprenticeship programs, and other industry-recognized training opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and team-based project experience.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail while managing competing priorities and delivering accurate results.
  • Must possess excellent judgment to prioritize work, handle multiple projects at once and meet objectives.
  • Very strong presentation skills to clearly articulate the participants’ journey and HIRE360 program.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness by identifying and implementing solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Proactive, adaptable self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • General case management experience and the ability to effectively work with a diverse population is required.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of High School diploma, post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workforce development and/or knowledge of implementing programs and training, and/or minimum of one to three years of relevant experience in a related field such as the building and construction trades, apprenticeships, training programs, or working with contractors.
  • Prior workforce development experience, and bilingual (Spanish/English) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit individuals who meet the basic eligibility requirements for the Climate Works Pre-Apprenticeship program.
  • Provide case management duties including candidate pre-screen, assessment, testing, career guidance, resume development, referrals, follow-up, placement in supportive services, and data entry.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in database, including case notes, outreach efforts, referrals, placement data and additional training and certifications earned.
  • Assist with development and implementation of all programming including apprenticeship preparation, job readiness training, curriculum development, industry certifications, testing, and other programming, as necessary.
  • Provide overall support by leading, monitoring and supervising information sessions and orientations.
  • Assist in managing apprenticeship opportunities and job placements including case management and reporting requirements.
  • Provide support for outreach, referrals, orientations, recruitments, training, and community events.
  • Perform regular follow-up with the respective candidates to ensure timeliness of the recruiting process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the community and labor partners.
  • Analyzes program-related reports from the database to provide accurate data regarding progress toward identified program goals.
  • Actively participates in job referrals by recommending qualified and pre-screened candidates.
  • Maintain professional relationships with community partners by providing and receiving referrals to resources and programming.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
