About The Position

The Can Line Mechanic is responsible for performing advanced mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing on high-speed canning line equipment, including seamers, fillers, packers, cartoners, palletizers, and conveyor systems. Execute equipment setups, changeovers, and precision adjustments to ensure seamer integrity, fill accuracy, and overall packaging quality. Complete preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with OEM and plant standards, diagnoses root causes of equipment failures, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Document work orders and maintenance activities within the CMMS, collaborating closely with Production, Quality, and Controls teams, and assisting with equipment rebuilds, overhauls, installations, and can line startups. Strict adherence to safety standards, GMP requirements, and food manufacturing compliance is essential. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, lift to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work flexible schedules including overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing maintenance preferably within food or beverage
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Double-seam certification or formal seamer training
  • Experience supporting can line startups and commissioning activities
  • Working knowledge of PLC and VFD
  • Welding and machinery experience
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
