This role involves verifying polishing operations, ensuring part SKU numbers and quantities match their respective Manufacturing Orders, and conducting visual inspections of camshafts throughout the preparation process. The technician will accurately log part movements, machine the rear face of camshafts using a belt sander before washing, and ensure all camshafts are completely covered in Rust Preventative during the washing process. Additionally, the role requires assisting other Camshaft Department team members during downtime, maintaining positive working relationships with manufacturing personnel and staff to foster a positive workplace environment, and adhering to industry-standard safety procedures within the Camshaft department. The technician is also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area and assisting with cleaning other areas during downtime, including other parts of the Camshaft Department and the Manufacturing Center. All other duties assigned by the direct manager are also part of the responsibilities.
