About The Position
Performs related duties of a classroom teacher to provide continuity in the day-to-day responsibilities during the absence of the regular employee. Substitute employees are employed on an as needed basis, however, should plan to work daily on school days Monday-Friday. There are no benefits associated with substitute employment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

- Experience working with children preferred
Responsibilities
- Manages classroom and provides instructions according to plans as prepared by the classroom teacher
- Provide positive student behavior management techniques
- Provides classroom environment which promotes active learning in each subject area
- Actively supervise students during recess or break times
- Accounts for student attendance and punctuality
- Follows all county, state, and federal policies and procedures
- Follows professional ethics in all work-related activities
- Avoids behaviors which detract from staff morale
- Other light duties as assigned by Principal, Operations, or Food Service
