About The Position

The Campus Security Officer supports and ensures the safety, welfare, and security of students, staff, families, and campus visitors in alignment with the school’s mission. As a visible and trusted presence on campus, security fosters a culture of safety while managing visitor protocols and providing high-quality customer service to the community.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid CPR/AED Certification
Valid First Aid Certification
Possession of a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Staff the visiting gate to control the flow of traffic and visitors on campus.
Manage and record visitor access logs, keeping track of who is on campus at any given time.
Check identification and record vehicle logs of on campus visitors and vehicles.
Conduct regular foot patrols of campus buildings, residence halls, parking lots, and campus boundaries.
Become familiar with students, faculty, parents, and visitors.
Serve as a member of the school’s crisis response team and safety committee.
Understand the school’s crisis response procedures and assist during any crisis that may arise.
Respond immediately to fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security alerts.
Lock and unlock facilities according to daily schedules.
Inspect doors and windows.
Report maintenance hazards or system malfunctions.
Report and intervene with any campus visitors who are not cleared to be on campus.
