FT Campus Security Officer (QC SO)

About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is hiring a full-time college campus security officer. The position is first shift, with days off yet to be determined, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week at $18.50 per hour. The officer monitors campus property, responds to service calls, and helps enforce campus policies and regulations. Weekend availability is required.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that falls within company policy.
Qualify to obtain a security license for the State of Iowa, with no disqualifying criminal convictions; the company will assist with this process.
Have good communication skills.
Be able to handle the physical nature of the position, including walking long distances, using stairs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Have weekend availability.
Participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

Monitor campus property to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
Warn violators of campus policies and regulations.
Conduct rounds to examine doors, windows, and gates and ensure they function properly and remain secure.
Answer calls for service from faculty, staff, and students.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the site supervisor.
