About The Position

Northeast Security, Inc. is seeking to expand its Campus Security teams for a key client in Boston, MA. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of the campus environment. The company, founded in 1967, is a leading security services firm in New England, known for its adaptability and market leadership in the security and safety industry. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements, including background screening, drug testing, and completion of orientation. Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy is required, working in MS Windows, Outlook, and One Note.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Security experience.
  • Will be required to write incident reports.
  • Must be able to deescalate irate tenant/customer calls/access requests.
  • Previous Law Enforcement, or related field/education in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Excellent computer skills utilizing multiple screens.
  • Neat and professional appearance.
  • Dependable means of transportation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English (both written and verbal).
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
  • Must be able to successfully pass ALL pre-employment background and drug screenings.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to emergency situations in person.
  • Being outdoors during all weather situations to monitor, patrol, and respond to threats/emergencies.
  • Using modern technology to monitor a variety of alarm signals and respond/dispatch security personnel.
  • Answering incoming phone lines.
  • Working individually and as a team to respond to incidents.
  • Reviewing security footage and conducting investigations of incidents.
  • Remaining calm and working well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Patrolling and monitoring multiple premises to detect any irregularities, suspicious behavior, or security breaches.
  • Observing and reporting incidents or suspicious activity.
  • Communicating with local law enforcement units and fire departments as necessary.
  • Conducting foot patrols of the premises.
  • Writing detailed reports on incidents that occurred on the premises daily.
  • Maintaining proper use, completion, and submission of all forms associated with patrol activities and/or duties.
  • Responding to requests for assistance and evaluating appropriate courses of action.
  • Complying with all requirements/directives within the on-site operations manual/post orders.
  • Assuming other duties as required by either Client or Northeast Security, Inc.
