About The Position

Reporting to the Campus Security Manager, this position is responsible for promoting and maintaining safety and security of students, faculty, employees, visitors and property, patrolling and monitoring buildings and grounds, provide incident prevention and detect signs of criminal or suspicious activity, conducting all mechanical and “punch” rounds per shift, responding promptly to emergency situations, providing first aid if needed, and alerting police or emergency personnel as appropriate, and de-escalating difficult situations.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to work a 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts
Must be able to work overtime when available
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in various weather conditions

Nice To Haves

Previous security or law enforcement experience
First Aid and CPR certification
Experience with security systems and equipment
