About The Position

Under the direction of the Principal, provides a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors on the school campus. Monitors campus activities, enforces school rules and regulations, and responds to emergencies. This is a 9-month position with 7-hour workdays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
Knowledge of school safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
Good observational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and the public.
Physical ability to patrol campus, stand for extended periods, and respond to situations as needed.
Must be able to complete a three (3) year work history in the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a school environment.
First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Monitors campus activities and premises to ensure safety and security.
Enforces school rules, regulations, and policies.
Responds to emergencies, incidents, and disturbances, taking appropriate action.
Patrols campus grounds, buildings, and parking lots.
Identifies and reports potential safety hazards or security risks.
Assists in maintaining order and discipline on campus.
Provides information and directions to students, staff, and visitors.
Collaborates with school administration and law enforcement as needed.
Completes incident reports and maintains records of activities.
Operates security equipment, such as radios and cameras, as required.
