To perform a variety of duties in the enforcement of laws, the protection of persons and property and the prevention of crimes within the College’s jurisdiction; to ensure the safety and security of the College campus; and to provide assistance to students, faculty, and staff. A Campus Safety Officer will work on the main campus or the Mountain House campus on an assigned shift and is subject to working weekends, nights, holidays and rotating shifts with mandatory overtime. The position of Campus Safety Officer is a non-sworn position with the San Joaquin Delta College Police Department. The non sworn Campus Safety Officer differs from the sworn Campus Police Officer in that the incumbents assigned to this classification provide protection by observing and reporting unusual and suspicious activity and enforce District parking regulations and provide traffic control.
