About The Position

The Campus Registrar at Keene High School is responsible for maintaining accurate student records. This role involves data entry for attendance and PEIMS, processing student enrollments, transfers, and withdrawals. The position requires knowledge of the Student Attendance Accounting Handbook and PEIMS data. The Campus Registrar reports to the Principal and is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and do word processing.
  • Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance.
  • Strong and Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into an established database and verify accuracy according to established procedures.
  • Assist parents, students and faculty with questions regarding student attendance, discipline and demographics.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all (both physical and electronic) reports, records, and other documents as required including: attendance reports, truancy documentation, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports, enrollments, withdrawals, transfers and substitute lists.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Call parents to verify student absences as needed.
  • Report all attendance problems to the designated Administrator.
  • Work directly with staff responsible for student attendance and truancy responsibilities by providing data and reports as requested.
  • Administer medication to students, check temperatures, and notify parents of student illness in nurse’s absence.
  • Use a positive approach in all customer service transactions.
  • Assist Principals Secretary as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
