Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent G.E.D. preferred.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license and practice safe driving techniques.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • First aid training required.
  • Basic safety knowledge and writing skills for record keeping required.
  • Ability to maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
  • Basic computer proficiency required, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Office 365 for documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
  • Must be able to learn and use internal systems such as surveillance monitoring software, access control, tools and communication platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains efficient record-keeping systems of all patrol checks.
  • Makes campus rounds on a routine basis to monitor safety/security services in place.
  • Makes vacation checks for residents on vacation.
  • Routinely makes safety checks of the residents' automobiles and the parking lot.
  • Alerts law enforcement of suspicious situations.
  • Responds to requests for special residential security checks.
  • Responds in an appropriate manner in emergency situations.
  • Monitors the safety/security measures in place on the campus.
  • Transports residents on the campus to various locations throughout the campus.
  • Models and embodies Eskaton’s core values, including: Creating a sense of warmth, welcoming and belonging for all.

  • Fully complies with all provisions in Eskaton’s Corporate Compliance Policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Maintains attendance as outlined in Eskaton policy.
  • Follows required dress code and Eskaton’s Community Appearance Standards.
  • Maintains a professional image to the public and residents.
  • Works in accordance with established safety guidelines; uses proper body mechanics; follows safe work practices; wears appropriate safety gear.
