About The Position

Under general supervision, the Campus Monitor is responsible for monitoring students, staff, visitors, and vehicles on campus. This role involves enforcing school rules, managing student behavior, resolving conflicts, and assisting with traffic and parking control. The position requires the ability to work effectively with students, record information accurately, follow instructions, and communicate effectively. The Campus Monitor may work irregular hours, be exposed to various weather conditions and vehicle exhaust, and may need to handle stressful situations and physical altercations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor student behavior across the campus and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking.
  • Resolve conflict or confrontation between students and report disturbances to the principal or assistant principal.
  • Help control traffic and parking on campus grounds.
  • Register student vehicles and maintain accurate records of registration.
  • Work cooperatively with campus office personnel to inform students of problems with vehicles (i.e., improperly parked, lights on, etc.).
  • Notify campus administration and/or campus SRO of any situation requiring immediate attention.
  • Give directions or act as a guide to authorized visitors.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all campus matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
