About The Position
This position is responsible for monitoring the behavior and activities of guests participating in The Salvation Army Kroc Center programming. The Campus Monitor also oversees the security and safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and members.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Six months experience working with the public
- First Aid, C.P.R. Narcan training.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in security or facility monitoring preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitors guests' behavior and activities to ensure compliance with program and facility rules and guidelines; advises guests of the appropriate behavior to stay in the program/facility.
- Provides monitoring for the building and grounds by being aware of activities happening across the campus.
- Maintains awareness of activities outside of the building; ensures that vehicles are parked in designated areas; ensures property is not vandalized.
- Monitors telephones, security cameras, and fire system; notifies proper authorities and supervisor when emergency assistance is needed.
- Prepares and maintains logs and records for assigned shift; ensures accuracy and completeness of the same.
