About The Position

GCS is seeking a graduate student for a summer internship within the Strategy & Transformation team supporting the Global & US Large Enterprises team (G&L).The Global & US Large Enterprises team (G&L), offers industry-leading T&E program management, including corporate travel cards and central billing solutions, as well as a growing set of business-to-business payment solutions that help clients improve process control, manage cash flow, and generate value from accounts payable.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in full-time graduate degree program.
  • Graduate degree candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • 3 plus years of prior full-time work experience.
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

Responsibilities

  • Own a strategic project from definition through final recommendation.
  • Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to clarify priorities, objectives, and execution plans.
  • Collaborate as needed across Client Management, Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Technology, Pricing, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Assess business needs using client insights, colleague feedback, market trends, analytics, and financial data.
  • Translate complex information into clear, data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations and communicate findings to senior audiences.
  • Build and maintain project plans, milestones, decision points, and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen business outcomes.
