About The Position

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Campus Fellows to join our Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign, supporting the Talarico team and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot across Texas. Campus fellows will be on the front lines of our large-scale effort to mobilize campus and youth voters across Texas during the most critical period of the campaign. Fellows will build and lead the volunteer and voter contact infrastructure on their campuses which will translate this high energy election into a high turnout election. They will gain hands-on experience with the systems and organizing practices used on competitive federal campaigns while contributing to the lasting infrastructure necessary to flip this state blue and keep it that way.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at a Texas College or University for the Fall 2027 semester.
  • Commitment to the Texas Democrats mission and our organizational values, goals, and objectives
  • Task and time management skills
  • Self-starter who shows strong initiative
  • Must be passionate about mobilizing young voters
  • Strong effective verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Access to a phone and laptop computer
  • Comfortable working and interacting with students and staff in-person

  • Involvement on campus organizations
  • Experience volunteering on electoral, union, or community organizing campaigns

Responsibilities

  • Organize voter contact events: Fellows will plan and lead weekly events on campus with manager support to educate and turnout voters.
  • Capacity building: Collaborate with existing campus organizations and use their personal networks to recruit new volunteers to hit voter contact goals.
  • Represent the campaign on campus: Serve as a primary voice of the campaign to supporters, volunteers, and voters, on campus to maintain a strong presence.
  • Maintain data integrity: Ensure timely and accurate data entry across voter contact events.
  • Creative organizing: Fellows will be given the opportunity to come up with creative ways to contact voters across campus through digital and in-person tactics.
  • Report results: Provide regular, accurate reporting on voter contact, with increased reporting frequency during GOTV.
  • Learn: Develop your own skills, cross-pollinate ideas, and grow into a stronger organizer than you were before you started.
