About The Position

Sodexo's Universities Segment is seeking a Campus Dietitian to provide nutrition and wellness support at the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida. This position will also provide support to neighboring campuses in the area as needed. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student health and wellness while collaborating directly with talented chefs on menu development and nutrition education. Campus nutrition experience is strongly preferred. This position is eligible for relocation assistance.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR and state licensure (LDN) in Florida.
  • Expert on dietary preferences and allergies and serve to guide nutritional choices accordingly.
  • History of working independently with little direction.
  • Commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement.
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.

Nice To Haves

  • Campus nutrition experience is strongly preferred.
  • Campus experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Executive Chef in selecting healthy menu items, evaluating sales and determining what can be offered differently, and promoting nutritional campaigns.
  • Serve as a liaison to university accommodations office regarding nutrition issues related to food allergies, weight management and disordered eating patterns and other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance or meal plan accommodations.
  • Provide support to athletics department by giving educational presentations and providing one-on-one counseling.
  • Conduct tabling events across the campus and create regular communications intended to motivate and engage the population in healthy eating habits.
  • Participate in campus and community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client goals.
  • Work evenings and/or weekends as business needs arise.
