The Business area Mining is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions, and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. Applications include rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunneling, and quarrying. This Facilities Specialist will be onsite in the Elko, NV facility 5 days a week.

Requirements

5 years proven experience in commercial / industrial facility management.
Demonstrated proficiency in general HVAC knowledge, and building resource management
Active valid driver’s license without restrictions
Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform/contract the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Manage the upkeep of parking lots, including resurfacing and line painting. Perform snow removal operations to ensure safe and accessible parking and access road areas.
Maintain attractive and functional outdoor spaces.
Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Conduct regular inspections and coordinate necessary repairs and upgrades.
Assist with front desk operations, including visitor admissions and handling inquiries.
Support the maintenance and cleanliness of wash bays and paint booths to ensure a safe working environment.
Oversee and assist with janitorial services to maintain a clean and hygienic campus environment.
Promote and enforce a culture of safety throughout the campus.
Maintain and monitor video surveillance systems to ensure campus security.
Help manage access controls, including issuing and deactivating access cards and keys.
Oversee the maintenance of ancillary services such as vending machines and water dispensers.
Ensure pool vehicles are maintained and support equipment mobilization and storage.
Make certain perimeter fences are free from weeds and in good working order.
Assist with the disposal of hydrocarbons and maintain stormwater systems. Ensure air permitting requirements are met and oil separators cleaned and maintained.
Adherence to the Sandvik Environmental, Health & Safety Policy.
Attending health and safety related trainings.
Performing Risk Assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.
Identification and reporting of hazards.
Working in a safe manner as reasonably practicable.
