About The Position

Campus Care Associate- Barc Housing $17/hour per hour Full-time: 7am-3pm (F/T 40 hrs/wk) days off are Tuesdays and Wednesdays About Us: Arc Broward is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of people with developmental disabilities and other life challenges. We provide various programs and services designed to support and empower our community. The Custodian will provide routine, manual work cleaning the entirety of location assigned; both interior and exterior. This position will be located at our Intermediate Care Facility called Barc Housing in Davie, FL. The custodial staff will perform recurring tasks in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules. What makes Arc Broward great? Requirements

• Minimum of one year related experience.
• Ability to take direction from supervisor(s).
• Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must pass physical and drug test.
• Ability to work under little supervision.
• Effective verbal and listening and communication skills
• Capable of standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, sweeping and mopping floors

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/ resident's bedrooms /offices/specified indoor and outdoor spaces using established practices and procedure.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restroom dispensers.
• Assist with the setup/cleanup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Attend to emergencies as necessary including the cleanup of chemicals or bodily fluids.
• Other duties requested by the Supervisor.
