About The Position

We are a premier family-friendly campground nestled in 25 wooded acres located in the heart of Ohio's natural scenic beauty. We offer a range of amenities and activities for campers of all ages. We have been providing families with a fun-filled outdoor experience for over 45 years. Our mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable camping experience for families to make lasting memories. We believe that the great outdoors provides an opportunity for families to unplug from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with each other and nature. A Seasonal Camp Ground Associate is to serve as the liaison between park users and park staff. You will use effective communication to dive sales, reservations, customer service and cash handling. May assist in campground public relations, activities and special events/activities. Will be responsible for performing light maintenance work and campground clean up. This is a part-time position for our winter camping season.

Requirements

Previous experience at a campground a plus.
Willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds
Human relations skills. Must be a "people-person" who thrives on public contact.
Ability to physically get out and make rounds through the camping area
Ability to adapt to changing work conditions
Must posses basic carpentry and maintenance skills
Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
A good knowledge of the park and surrounding area
Flexible and rotating schedule to include afternoons, most weekends and summer holidays
Requires visual acuity and ability to hear to clearly communicate with managers, coworkers, guests and vendors
Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to reach with arms and hands
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Must have finger to hand dexterity to be able to grip, grasp items or equipment

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service
Comply with campground policies and procedures
Deliver firewood & ice
General grounds keeping & keep restrooms clean
General campground security and oversight
Assist with administrative projects and general office support
Maintain accurate reservation and guest records
Assist with winter property upkeep, including monitoring common areas for snow and ice conditions
Monitor and assist with the needs of guests staying onsite during the winter season
Communicate guest concerns, maintenance needs, or property issues to management
Assist management with special projects and preparation for the upcoming season
Minor maintenance work
Answering phones and taking reservations
Processing online reservations
Checking and answering the Resort email and voicemail
Checking in guests upon arrival and checking out guests
Helping stock the campground store and process store transactions
Providing local information and campground area information
Cleaning all bathhouses
Cleaning up garbage and debris around the property
Must be available on nights and weekends
Other duties as assigned
