About The Position

The Annual Giving team at the University of Notre Dame focuses on increasing unrestricted and society giving, total donor count, and the percentage of undergraduate alumni who make an annual gift. The team emphasizes providing an exceptional experience for Giving Society members. This role provides hourly support for Campaigns, Donor Experience, and Events, offering customer service, administrative assistance, and event support to the Giving Society and Campaigns and Initiatives teams. The position typically requires about 15 hours per week but may need additional hours, including evenings and weekends, for operational needs such as Notre Dame Football home weekends, Rockne Bash, and Notre Dame Day. The role reports to the Associate Director of Giving Society Events and Stewardship and collaborates with the Giving Society and Campaigns and Initiatives teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster a positive, collaborative culture
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Calendar, Docs, Gemini, Sheets, Slides)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with event planning and coordination is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Salesforce Ascend experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline administrative support via phone, email, texting, instant chat, and in-person communication, including event registration, gift processing, and other concierge services.
  • Support the Associate Director of Events and Stewardship with event preparation and on-site logistics during Notre Dame Football home games, including evenings and weekends.
  • Learn and understand key solicitation campaigns (audience, messaging, timelines) and serve as a point of contact for donors during these campaigns.
  • Support student-focused events and collaborate with the student call center on donor stewardship and engagement projects.
  • Quickly learn new systems, including Salesforce Ascend.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Serve as a positive and professional representative of the University.
  • Support special projects or other duties as assigned.
