About The Position

The Autism Society of North Carolina is currently hiring a Seasonal Camp Custodian at our Camp in Moncure, NC. This position is responsible for maintaining buildings and grounds to the highest standards. Will perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, stocking custodial supplies and removing trash. Duties may include cleaning debris from sidewalk and entrances areas, picking up trash and assisting in ground maintenance. Duties may also include assisting in the kitchen by serving meals, doing dishes or general cleaning of kitchen equipment. Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend a written list of assigned tasks.
Ability to execute high level of thoroughness with all job tasks
Ability to work and complete assigned tasks independently.
Ability to communicate, in written or verbal form, about any issues encountered throughout the workday.
Ability to understand feedback and adjust accordingly.
Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.
No prior experience or training required.

Responsibilities

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming.
Gather and empty trash in all office, common area and bathrooms.
Clean toilets, sinks and re-stock toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap in all restrooms.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors in all office, common area and bathrooms using soapy water and/or other cleaners, sponges, paper towels and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, cabinets, machines and equipment.
Periodically disinfect doorknobs and handles.
Wipe countertops, sink and microwaves in kitchen area.
Wash dishes, load and unload dishwasher.
Stock shelves and cabinets with clean dishes.
Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Trash pick-up
Other duties as assigned in support of the mission of the organization.
