Jill’s House is a Christian non-profit organization and auxiliary ministry of McLean Bible Church called by God to love families raising children (ages 6-17) with intellectual disabilities toward Jesus by providing them with short-term, overnight respite care and holistic family support services. We seek to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed to all our constituencies. We unconditionally welcome, love, and serve all families whose children fit our service parameters regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or any other characteristic. In all that we do, we seek to live in accordance with Biblical principles. To learn more, please visit our website at jillshouse.org [https://jillshouse.org/]. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, the Camp Nurse works alongside the Weekend Adventures team from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and oversees all medical care for campers ages 6-17 with intellectual disabilities. There is one nurse on site who oversees the medical care for an average of 10 campers throughout the weekend. The Camp Nurse is responsible for anticipating medical or nursing care problems and providing solutions relating to the care for children with disabilities. In addition to the medical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to assist our campers in activities such as hiking, low ropes courses, hayrides, craft time and even s'mores!
