About The Position

Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert are looking for a dependable, hands-on person to help care for their beautiful camp properties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fixing things, working outdoors, and seeing the results of their work daily. While expertise in every trade is not required, the ideal candidate will have general maintenance or groundskeeping experience, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to taking pride in a job well done.

Requirements

• Some experience with general maintenance, repairs, landscaping, construction, farming, or a related hands-on role.
• Comfort using common hand and power tools.
• Dependability and the ability to work independently.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate clearly.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends when needed.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform active work that may include walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.
• Valid driver’s license for operating camp vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or GED is helpful but not required if you have relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete general maintenance and minor repairs throughout camp.
• Help troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, lighting, appliance, furniture, painting, and facility issues.
• Care for the grounds by mowing, trimming, leaf blowing, weeding, and completing other landscaping work.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Keep tools, vehicles, and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
• Help track and order maintenance and groundskeeping supplies.
• Support seasonal projects, facility preparation, trail maintenance, and storm cleanup.
• Respond to maintenance needs and work with other departments and vendors.
• Pitch in on special projects that help keep camp safe, welcoming, and ready for campers.
