About The Position

The year-round Intern program is designed for people who are deeply committed to Jesus Christ and desire to intern at camps to help create and provide an environment where staff, volunteers, and guests of Miracle Ranch can experience Christ. This program is intended to be a life-changing experience where each intern will grow spiritually, personally, relationally, and professionally, emerging more energized and prepared for a lifetime of service. Interns will be an integral part of the camp community and are expected to participate regularly in community activities.

Requirements

Deep commitment to Jesus Christ
Committed Christian dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development
Demonstrated growing personal walk with God (e.g., daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.)
Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA
Engages ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices
Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC)
Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC)
Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader
Associates degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to communicate clearly to others
Ability to work collaboratively with all Camps staff and customers
Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions (WAC 388-113)

Nice To Haves

Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis
Previous experiences coordinating events by phone and multi-tasking

Hosting guest groups
Facilitating activities
Summer staff recruiting
Program planning
Sound and video operation
General repairs
Landscaping
Vehicle operation and maintenance
Cabin turnover
Laundry
General cleaning
Food preparation
Inventory management
Meal service
Assisting with horse weekends and trail rides
Feeding and cleaning of animals
Supporting other horse events
Marketing for events
Developing promotional materials
Making phone calls
Working collaboratively with all Camps staff and customers
Performing other related duties as assigned
Conducting oneself in a manner that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC)
