About The Position

Plans, implements, coordinates, and supervises an assigned group of children and youth participating in a one-week Christian Fine Arts Camp (CHFA), with a focus on film, theatre, and creative arts programming. This role always promotes quality of programs and safety of campers, provides faith-based guidance and role modeling to campers, and promotes and stimulates camper participation in both recreational and arts-based activities. The Camp Counselor coordinates and leads campers through their daily schedule ensuring punctuality and responsibility.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Six months of experience working with children or youth programs (camp, church, school, or arts-based programs) is preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and organizes an assigned group of campers during scheduled activities and during unscheduled blocks of time, in accordance with camp rules and regulations.
  • Promotes and encourages campers' participation to ensure a pleasant camp experience, with an emphasis on creative expression, collaboration, and performance-based activities.
  • Supervises cabin clean-up and work details.
  • Includes movement between arts classes such as film, acting, and musical theatre.
