About The Position
Pinewood Country Club, located in Munds Park, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Camp Counselor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. This is a seasonal position that will last 6 months or less.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid certification required.
- Must attend training dates prior to start.
- Desire to work with children.
- Ability to assist in teaching activities.
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision.
- Demonstrates leadership, enthusiasm, patience, self-control, maturity, responsibility, strong social skills, integrity, and a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Lifeguard certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Enhances the camper experience at Pinewood Country Club while taking responsibility for their well-being and needs.
- Implements camp programs, including chaperoning specialty camps, field trips, physical activities, daily living skills, health, safety, and events.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety of campers.
- Follows camp objectives, rules, policies, guidelines, and daily schedule.
- Assists staff with all camp activities.
- Serves as a positive role model for youth.
- Creates new activities and games.
- Shows a genuine interest in campers.
- Problem-solves situations and seeks assistance when necessary.
- Maintains the recreation/camp center according to Club standards.
- Welcomes all club members.
- Is punctual and organized.
- Participates enthusiastically.
- Enhances and teaches skills to campers (e.g., guitar, basketball, art).
- Attends scheduled meetings and training sessions.
- Arrives on time with a positive attitude.
- Follows directions.
- Ensures all youth feel comfortable, safe, and included.
- Performs all other assigned duties.
- Knows campers’ locations at all times.
- Participates in and supports summer events.
