About The Position
The Camp Compass® Counselor is responsible for assisting the Calvary Bereavement Staff in providing bereavement services to children and adolescents during summer camp. Camp Compass® 2025 will take place at: Queensborough Community College 222-05 56th Avenue, NY 11364 Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm Bus Pick-Up Location in Brooklyn & Bronx. Dates: August 11 - August 15, 2025 (One Week Only) New Stipend: 1,250.00 for the week
Requirements
- School social workers, teachers, guidance counselors, school or pediatric nurses, and other Master prepared clinicians or Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children.
- Minimum of three (3) years in Childhood Education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and function.
- COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged for all new hires prior to beginning employment at Calvary Hospital
